Mark, Wanted to thank you so much for the expertise and support you provided in helping me defend my appraisal with the state board. Your experience as an investigator with the state not only proved invaluable in letting me know what to expect but also provided the most optimal manner in which to defend my report. The experience of a complaint is traumatic enough but without your help I have no doubt the outcome would have been much worse. My initial thoughts on how and what to defend were quite different than the areas you suggested I work on, and you were proven correct. By following your advice, instead of what I thought was correct, I had many of the answers ready and waiting. This helped me appear calm, confident and knowledgeable about not only the report, but the appraisal field in general. This,  in itself, I have no doubt played a great role in the final outcome. It is without doubt I will recommended your services to appraisers who are facing a complaint. It is a long arduous process. One I would of had a much tougher time getting through except for your help and expertise. The fact you were able to appear with me at the hearing was most helpful. I know you are not considered nor cannot act as counsel but your presence as a consultant at the hearing kept me focused on the problem. Otherwise I most certainly would have lost my place many times. The fact it would have been me facing a lawyer and two investigators would have been quite intimidating without you at the hearing. I felt confident, with you at the hearing,  I could present my defense in a controlled confident manner. I could keep repeating how invaluable you were to have as a consultant but I think all was said in the final outcome. The outcome of the hearing was so much better than I had imaged. I was ready for the worst, but received, what I considered, a minimal sanction as compared to what it could have been. I will say again, I truly believe the majority of the outcome was based on your consultation and preparation for the hearing.

I seldom recommend someone’s services, but in this case I feel compelled.  In August of 2014 I received a letter from the Texas Appraiser Licensing Board notifying me that a complaint had been filed against me concerning a log cabin that I had appraised.  This was the first complaint that had been filed against me in over thirty years of my residential appraisal practice.
